Turban of Death awarded for Cowardice in the face of Islam
The Catholic church has always had many things in common with Islam (paedophilia, Nazi collaboration and more phobias than a nervous polyphobe) so it should come as no surprise when a senior Catholic Bishop says something extremely stupid that defies all common sense.
Bishop Muskens, however, overstepped the mark with his suggestion that Christians in the civilised world should refer to God as Allah as a way of appeasing Muslims. Allah was wondering whether Islamic nations would be asked to reciprocate.
The bonkers bishop told a Dutch TV show that 'God didn't mind what he was called' and that he was above such 'discussion and bickering'... Although it's a shame the Catholic church didn't come up with this revelation a few hundred years earlier, I'm sure the barmy bishop's flock will feel reassured to know their bishop is in direct communication with God.
Some worried onlookers see Holland as the European battleground in the war against the evil teachings of Islam. In 2004 Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh was murdered by a Muslim for daring to make a film that criticised the death cult known affectionately as Islam. Dutch politicians have been reluctant to criticise Muslims for their barbaric activities due to the large number that now currently receive the benefits (voting and free money) of living in a democratic country.
The braindead bishop isn't all bad though. In 2005 he stated that 'Islam was a religion without a future' because it had 'too many violent aspects'. However, several fatwas and the prospect of legal underage sex was apparantly enough to make him change his perspective on the Religion of 'Peace' .
